Meet Ade
Hello, I’m Ade, a registered nurse, educator, and founder of Novus Nurse Consulting.
For more than 30 years, I have worked in nursing, clinical education, orthopedic care, geriatric care, and patient teaching. Throughout my career, I have seen how much clearer communication can improve understanding, confidence, and decision-making.
I created Novus Nurse Consulting to make complex healthcare information easier to understand—whether a nurse is preparing a patient to go home or an attorney is reviewing a complicated medical case..
Why I Started Novus
My work with older adults with limited English proficiency showed me how overwhelming hospital discharge can feel.
Patients and caregivers are often asked to understand medications, follow-up care, fall prevention, warning signs, and home-safety instructions in a short amount of time. When language barriers and complex medical terms are added, important information can easily become confusing.
I wanted to create practical resources that help nurses slow the conversation down, explain essential information more clearly, and support patients and caregivers as they prepare for the transition home.
That purpose continues to guide the work at Novus.
